Temporary Midi Interface Solutions

Postby Czad » Thu Mar 24, 2011 5:31 pm

I've been without a midi interface since my firebox died. My new Mbox mini doesn't have midi capabilities, so for the time being my Virus is really more of a paperweight. I can still play and record the audio, but of course no midi for now. And since I prefer working with the midi aspect, I haven't used it much at all. I'm too poor right now to afford even the cheapest interface, so I thought getting one of these, just for the time being.

Anyone know if these kind of cables are worthy?

They're cheap, and I only have one hardware synth, so this should be decent enough if it works right? Anyone ever use one?

Thanks.

Well, I'd look into the ebay feedback to see if anyone's said anything, positive or negative, specifically about the cable. I have (unless I chucked it) a similar cable by Turtle Beach (random I know), but they have a while back ceased supporting it, and I have not had any luck getting it to work on my Win7 computer.

So tread cautiously, but for the money, maybe it's worth the gamble. But see if you can find any information about the cables first.
