Guitar setup [I started as a gutiarist :P]

I have a Ibanez Iceman IC300B custom shop model. [tuned to drop c, skinny top heavy bottom. Yes I really like SOAD that much when I was in highschool.]
I have what started as a Squier Affinity strato caster which in my care went under a series of cosmetic upgrades and modifications into a very unique sounding and prolly the EASIEST to play guitar in existance.
I've got a plethora of Roland/BOSS pedals, The singles and tuner plus my shubb [a capo] are all housed in a BCB-60 for power and portability.
Signal chain = PW-01 > TU-12 > NS-1 > DS-1 > MD-2 > MT-2 > DD-6 > RV-5 > BBE Sonic Maximizer 428i > ::mixer::

For a Mixer I use a rackmounted Behringer Xenyx 1622FX which sends and receives sound from my workstation computer, which unfortunately is down due to a power surge, sound cards [E-mu 1212m Suite] still work though...

On my synth stand I usually arrange based on comfort and use area...
Synth stand:
Top tier = Flat panel monitor / Microkorg
Second tier = microkorg & a MC-808, or a E-mu Xboard 61k
Bottom = Access Virus KC
In my rack you'd find a MOTU Midi Express Router, My BBE Sonic Maximizer, my Behringer XENYX and my Roland JP-8080 all fully mounted in.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
==========================================================================================
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gear I'd like to put into my studio:
I intend to eventually get rid of the mc-808. retire the microkorg and use a MS-2000R in its place. Retire the KC for either a rackmounted TI or TI2, Get a nice Novation K-station, and eventually get a pair of Emu's to replace my current board and provide additional control. Also going to a smaller mixer and a newer Midi control router would be nice too :3

I'll mod a rack and some sheet metal to "rackmount" the Kstation, Put in a JV-2080, some cheapo rackmounted sampler, prolly the E-mu 6400 ultra, Yamaha TX81z, and a BOSS SE-50 W/ vf-1, and BOSS GX-700, Lexicon LXP-15 for effects.

Extras that would be fun but prolly not used would be [random analogue synth] and a D-50 or something. :D

Just added Komplete 6 and Audio Damage's Tattoo to my arsenal. Definitely check out Tattoo, very cool drumsynth/sequencer, with some inspiring parameters to mess with, and modulation for practically every one. Cheap too ($79)

That reminds me. I just picked up NI Battery 3 a little over a month ago. I've played with the demo before, but this was probably my best studio purchase of 2009. I picked it up from Nova Musik, along with some Auralex monitor isolation pads, and a free TShirt.

Current Gear Set-up (things will probably change a lot when I get home, and I was looking at possibly getting a rack build from synthesizers.com)

PC:i7 @ 3.2 ghz, 12 gb Ram, 4 TB HD.

DAW: Sonar 8.5

Synths:Besides the Korg Legacy and NI's Komplete for Softsynths

Korg Radias
Access Virus C
Roland JP-8080
Moog Little Phatty
Korg TR Rack x2 (Combi)

Pro Audio:
Mackie 1202 VLZ Pro
M-Audio Fast Track 8R
Cakewalk UM-3G x 3 Daisychained
Two JBL Active Monitors w/ Sub (I cant remember the specific model of the top of my head)
Line 6 POD X3 Pro

And since i've been a bass player for quite awhile:
x2 Ampeg 810E
Both Power buy an SVT6 Pro head.
Effects used was Line 6 POD X3 Pro
FBV Foot Controller as well.
Basses Include
ESP F-250 4 String
Schecter Elite 5 String.

I have a guitar ive been using for a year now, but it was given to me for free and I just run it through effects. Not sure of the make and model, but its definately very cheap.

I'll post pictures when I get everything out of storage and set up again.

I make music off of my laptop and I only have two programs to do that.

Magix Music Maker 14
Quick-Trax Electro Chill-out Music Station Pro

I'd post pics. But my camera is currently broken at the moment. :(

IMPULSE BUY!

Been selling off some things (mostly guitar effects since I use mainly software for my guitar effects now), and was planning to use the money to add a Mopho to my studio. Well, today I spotted one on ebay for $300, had to go for it. Can't wait to play with this thing

Definately just want to put this out there.

Last week picked up a Juno 106.
Beautiful. The pads and leads are amazing and mix well with the virus.

And a Machinedrum SPS-1UW MK2, loaded with 808/909 direct input samples.
Im going to tell you, if you ever want a drum machine, just get the machinedrum.
This is by far my work horse.
Yeah, its got an 808 price tag new, but its damn well worth it.
I'd also suggest the Mbase999 as well.

My GAS is good to go for another year.
I do need a bigger mixer though, time to step up the the Allen and Heath Zed-24.

^Machinedrum, NICE. If only I had the extra cash lying around.

I haven't posted a photo at all yet have I, here's one of my simple set up (simple to save space in my small apartment):
Image

Ableton Live 8
Mopho
Blofeld
Launchpad
Akai LPK (would like to replace this with a Korg Microkey, should still be small enough heightwise to fit in my keyboard tray, but I would gain a mod wheel and pitch wheel.)

I also have an M-Audio Axiom 49, but like I said, a little too crowded in the apartment for it.
